Higher Education

     Virtually everyone is a fan of something, and when it comes to sports fans, we all have our favorites teams. We will learn the chants, wear their colors, and go to their games. When it comes to college sports, fans get attached and will be fans for life, even go as far as having generations after generations attend these colleges. These powerhouse universities have spent years building their name and building their brand on and off the field. With this incredible reputation these colleges are able to pack their stands at football games and pack their classrooms with students who are eager to wear that schools logo on their graduation cap. The University of Texas is one of the most recognizable names, not only in college sports but for their academics as well. UT prides themselves in their identity and world diligently to maintain their persona. 
University of Texas at Austin suspends Texas Cowboys for 6 years over  alleged hazing - ABC News    The University of Texas at Austin was opened in September of 1883, housing eight professors within one building, and has flourished ever since. In 1929, they started to more into one of their most proud forms, a research university. Fighting through integration, this university has always proven to open its doors to all and welcome the most elite to its campus. Most recently adding a medical school, the University of Texas has grown into its name representing the state well. The mascot, the longhorn, came to fruition in 1893 when they established their football team, a powerhouse amongst the big twelve. The orange and white floods the closets and shelves of many who root on the longhorns each year.
    When it comes to increasing publicity, they really don’t have much work to do, but there are definitely ways that they keep their name in such high standing.
